DRY MOUTH
Having a low level of saliva is called Xerostomia.
Causes:
Dehydration, more or less significant destruction of the salivary glands or disruption in their functioning.
Prevention:
See your dentist regularly;
Use an alcohol-free mouthwash;
To drink a lot of water;
Use fluoride-based products.
A dry mouth is often associated with type 1 diabetes or taking certain medications.
A mouthwash can be prescribed by your dentist to restore your oral flora.
It is essential to keep your mouth hydrated.
