DENTAL PROSTHESIS
A dental prosthesis is a device which is intended to artificially replace one or more natural teeth.
Causes:
Poor oral hygiene combined with a prosthesis is likely to create microscopic fungi which manifest as inflammation and redness of the palate.
Prevention:
Impeccable hygiene of prostheses is crucial. The prosthesis must be cleaned and brushed after each meal;
The rest of the teeth must be brushed regularly and we recommend the use of mouthwash;
Dentures should not be worn at night. Additionally, they must be soaked in an antiseptic solution.
