GRINDING OF TEETH
Affects most of the population, but is not a concern until it becomes heavy and frequent.

Causes:
Poor bite or jaw misalignment;
Stress;
Abnormal closing of the teeth caused by misaligned or missing teeth.
Prevention:
For severe cases of bruxism, the following solutions should be considered:
Reduce stress;
Reduce caffeine (coffee, chocolate and soft drinks);
Avoid biting objects;
Stop grinding your teeth if it happens while you are awake;
Use a cloth dampened with warm water against your face in front of your ears to relax your jaw muscles before sleep;
Use an occlusal plate during sleep.
